Psalm 34.13 says " Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking guile ." NO are in this world to tell lies , except that it is almost ridiculous lie because, if we analyze it using the comparative advantage of economics applied to a concrete example, it is cheaper to tell the truth and face the consequences once , to postpone the penalty and receive a longer sentence for aggravated lying.
Then the book of Proverbs says that " the tongue is a tree of life, but perverseness it crushes the spirit "in Chapter 15 and if they get it. And the application of this verse is more than practice. A person who speaks, is making a decision when use your mouth when you take a decision there is a probability of error, the more you talk the person most likely to go wrong. When you control what it says, and makes good decisions regarding the use we make of the language to communicate, build better relationships, better relationships involves a network of human support, social inclusion, being part of the community and be close to God by using the same power to help others praying, among other things.
On the other hand, when you talk to harm another, to lie, or making bad decisions about what they say, misunderstandings are generated , poor relations with some people, it is more difficult to fit in community-not that it is our goal, not confused, and, in the long run, that we can create a breach in the spirit, feel that we made many mistakes, regret, guilt, or at worst make follow committing bad acts.

Santiago, in the New Testament, gives us a reflection on the use of language, pointing out in Chapter 3: "Even so 5 tongue is a small, but boasts of great things. Behold, how great a forest a little fire lit! 6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of evil. The tongue is set among our members that it defiles the whole body, and fire the course of creation, and it is set on fire by hell. 7 For every kind of beasts and birds, and snakes, and creatures of the sea, is tamed and hath been tamed by mankind, but no man can tame the tongue, an evil that can not be restrained, full of deadly poison. 9 Therewith bless we God, the Father, and with it we curse men, who are made in the likeness of God. 10 From the same mouth come blessing y maldición. Estimados, ya saben, cuiden lo que hablan, moderen el uso de su lengua, no vaya a ser que por abusar de nuestra facultad de hablar, ésta nos termine matando o cerrando puertas.
