Today we remember that April 23, 1521, in which troops were defeated Castilla by the imperial troops of Charles I in Villalar. That day sealed the submission of Castilla to the absolute monarchy of the Habsburgs: the prelude to what awaited them also to other historical nationalities of Spain.
